The Corrections Risk Control Advisory Committee is comprised of jail, corrections, and law enforcement professionals from
MMRMA member agencies throughout Michigan. These individuals collaborate with risk management, legal, and claims professionals
to address issues facing these departments.
The functions of the committee are to develop strategies for handling emerging issues; proactively introduce methods to avoid
or mitigate loss; develop model procedures aimed at reducing the frequency and severity of loss; identify training needs of
corrections staff; develop appropriate training opportunities; and serve as forum for information exchange and networking
among MMRMA member jail administrators.
