Notice of Board Vacancy: Call for Letters of Interest

There is currently a vacancy on the MMRMA Board of Directors due to the retirement of Board member Phil LaJoy from Canton Township. The MMRMA Joint Powers Agreement provides that the Board of Directors, by majority vote, shall appoint qualified individuals to fill vacancies on the Board for any unfulfilled term. The eligibility criteria for this vacant seat are as follows:

Individual Member Designated Township Seat (term expires December 31, 2018) – To qualify for this seat, persons must be either an elected governing body official (supervisor or trustee) or the appointed chief administrator (township manager) from an Individual Member township.

Eligible persons interested in being considered for Board appointment should provide a letter of interest along with a short resume highlighting qualifications.  Letters of interest and supporting material should be sent by January 13, 2017, to the address below or emailed to Mike Rhyner at
