MMRMA Seeks Participants for New Committee

Posted: Monday, November 5, 2018

MMRMA insures $14 billion of property: 7,000 buildings, among them city halls, jails, fire and police stations, transit centers, libraries, mental health facilities, park pavilions, and more.

Facilities management includes property, project, and operational management, including routine planned and seasonal maintenance and custodial services.  It also includes innovative trends in managing facilities such as wearable technology, advanced HVAC technology, and connected job sites.

The MMRMA Board of Directors recently approved formation of a new Facilities Management Risk Control Advisory Committee. Member employees who serve on this committee will assist MMRMA in the development of model guidelines and policies, risk control bulletins, and member training designed to help members avoid risk or liability.

MMRMA seeks to launch the committee in early 2019 and is seeking member employees with expertise in these areas to fill nine seats on this advisory committee. If you are interested in being considered, please submit a letter of interest detailing your background and relevant experience to Cara Kowal, Manager of Risk Management Services, via email. We request that letters of interest be submitted by Thursday, February 21, 2019.
