MMRMA Hires Phil Kamm as Risk Control Consultant

Posted: Monday, August 5, 2019

MMRMA is pleased to announce the addition of Phil Kamm to the MMRMA staff. Phil joined the Membership Services team as Risk Control Consultant on August 5, 2019. In this role, he will bring his considerable expertise in fire and emergency medical services to the MMRMA staff for the benefit of our members.

A familiar face at MMRMA, Phil served for a number of years on the Fire/EMS Risk Control Advisory Committee and was appointed to the Membership Committee in 2018.  He is well acquainted with the work done in Membership Services, including development of training, model policies, and RAP grants.

Phil is recently retired as a Captain and paramedic with the Livonia Fire Department, where he served since 1997. Prior to that, Phil was a firefighter/EMT-S with the Detroit Metro Airport Fire Department. He also served as a firefighter/EMT with Plymouth Township and as a firefighter with the U.S. Air Force.  He is trained in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), Line of Duty Death protocols, and has experience as a grant writer.  He possesses a Master’s in Public Administration from Eastern Michigan University and is a graduate of the Fire Staff and Command – Class 4, also through EMU.

Phil looks forward to supporting the work of the fire/EMS profession and expanding his skills to serve the larger MMRMA membership. Please join us in welcoming Phil to his new role at MMRMA!
