In Memoriam: Remembering Gerald Buckless, 1929-2020

Posted: Monday, June 1, 2020

With sadness and fond remembrance, we want to notify our extended MMRMA family that Theodore Gerald Buckless passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on May 22, 2020. Gerald, as he was known, was a trusted leader in Livingston County, one of MMRMA's founding members.

These photos show Gerald in the early days of MMRMA (right) and at the 2010 Annual Meeting (left), which he and other past Board members attended to help celebrate our 30th anniversary.

A longtime supporter and advocate of this organization, Gerald once said: “MMRMA was a concept that was needed; we were fortunate that we had people with the vision and foresight to take up the challenge. That’s true not only of the people who set forth the idea, but also of the government entities that initially accepted the challenge.”

Gerald served on the MMRMA Board of Directors from its inception until his retirement in 2002.

Please join MMRMA in remembering Gerald and his impact on our organization, and in wishing his family well at this sad time. More information is available here.
