Notice of Board Vacancy: Call for Letters of Interest Vacancy is for an Individual Member At-Large Seat. Deadline to submit letters of interest is January 29, 2021. 2020 "MMRMA: 40 Years of Innovative Leadership" We mark this ruby anniversary with a retrospective on key milestones from each of our four decades, examining both their origins and their enduring impact on the organization today. We also reflect on 2020, a year like no other, and what it meant for MMRMA and our members. Thanks to all our members for your loyalty, commitment, and contributions to the ongoing success of MMRMA. Notice of Board Vacancy: Call for Letters of Interest

There is a vacancy on the MMRMA Board of Directors due to Tracey Schultz Kobylarz’s retirement as Redford Township Supervisor. 

The MMRMA Joint Powers Agreement provides that the Board of Directors, by majority vote, shall appoint qualified individuals to fill vacancies on the Board for any unfulfilled term.  The eligibility criteria for the vacant seat are as follows:

Individual Member At-Large Seat (term expires December 31, 2022) – To qualify for this seat, persons must be an officer of any Individual Member entity.  An officer is defined as:

1. an elected official; or
2. An appointed official of at least the department head rank; or
3. An individual who is certified by the governing body of an Individual Member municipal corporation as serving or acting as an officer of that corporation and who has significant experience and expertise in risk management, finance, or the insurance industry.

Eligible persons interested in being considered for Board appointment should provide a letter of interest along with a short resume highlighting qualifications.  Letters of interest and supporting material should be emailed by Friday, January 29, 2021, to Executive Director Michael Rhyner: mrhyner@mmrma.org.
