Membership Committee Raises Aggregate Limit for Security-Related Grant Funding

At the Membership Committee’s latest meeting, committee members approved security grant requests totaling almost $150,000. They believe security systems are beneficial tools for reducing risk exposure in MMRMA member communities. Based on the large number of security-related grant requests submitted for consideration each quarter, the committee decided to review the Standard Grant Guideline they use when considering funding amounts for such requests.
Previously, funding for security grant requests was set at an aggregate limit of $25,000 for each MMRMA member. After some discussion, the Membership Committee voted to increase the security systems Standard Grant Guideline’s aggregate limit per member from $25,000 to $50,000.
MMRMA members’ Risk Avoidance Program (RAP) applications are reviewed every quarter by the Membership Committee. Funding is usually approved at a rate of 50%, and each member is expected to contribute the remaining 50% of funding for the project described in its application.
