Membership Committee Revises Standard RAP Grant Guidelines

Posted: Wednesday, May 30, 2012

At their May 18, 2012 meeting, the Membership Committee reviewed and revised their Standard Grant Guidelines. The Risk Avoidance Program (RAP) Standard Grant Guidelines consist of a list used by the Membership Committee in reviewing grant requests fairly and consistently. It provides funding limits for the purchase of various equipment and tuition assistance for popular trainings. While this list does not guarantee or entitle MMRMA members to funding, it does provide a guideline for members seeking funding for certain items.
Some of the notable revisions that were made include revised aggregate amounts for in car video cameras and Livescan fingerprinting. New items including funding for body worn video cameras and laptop computer protection. Click  here for a full list.
Members must submit each project as a full application that will be considered individually by the Membership Committee at one of their quarterly meetings. This list does not restrict RAP funding to only the projects listed. Please review the RAP Grant Guidelines for further information on project criteria and other related grant information. All applications must be complete, including Member Representative signature and budget detail. MMRMA will not accept handwritten applications.
